Israeli Army Strikes Hezbollah Weapons Smuggling Infrastructure on Syria-Lebanon Border

Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on the outskirts of Qosaya in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley on Friday, targeting three sites.

A loud explosion, which echoed across the eastern mountain range in the Bekaa, was reportedly heard as Israeli aircraft flew at low altitude over the area.

This marks the second time the Bekaa has been struck by Israeli airstrikes since the ceasefire went into effect on November 27. The first violation occurred during the early hours of Wednesday, when Israeli aircraft targeted the plains of Taraya.

The Israeli army confirmed the airstrikes, saying it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure on the Syria-Lebanon border, allegedly used for transferring weapons.

According to the Israeli military, Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck sites at the Janta crossing, situated in the Bekaa Valley. The army maintained that Hezbollah utilizes civilian infrastructure for its operations, specifically for transferring arms intended for future attacks against Israeli citizens.

"The Hezbollah terror organization uses civilian infrastructure to carry out terror activity and to transfer weapons, which are intended to be used to carry out terror attacks against Israeli citizens," the Israeli army said in a statement.
