Hezbollah Operative Targeted in Southern Lebanon Drone Strike

An Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle in southern Lebanon on Monday, killing one person and wounding seven, Lebanese health authorities said.

The strike hit a road between the towns of Al-Sharqiyeh and Al-Dweir, setting several parked cars ablaze. The Israeli army confirmed it carried out the operation against a Hezbollah target in southern Lebanon.

Lebanese sources identified the intended target as Hezbollah operative Mohammad Ali Hadid, who reportedly survived a separate attack the previous day. The vehicle hit in Monday’s strike was registered to Hussein Hoteit, who is currently outside Lebanon.

Earlier incidents included a drone dropping a bomb near a bulldozer in the northern neighborhood of Al-Khiyam, which caused no injuries. Another drone strike near the Zefta-Al-Nmayriyyeh junction, close to the Al-Wafa Butchery, saw three rockets land on the road, also without casualties.
