Hankach Says Tuesday's Expanded Parliamentary Meeting Aims at Discussing Presidential Elections

Kataeb Lawmaker Elias Hankach said that today’s expanded parliamentary meeting aimed at discussing  the presidential elections.

“We, as the Kataeb Party, are open to any candidacy to break the deadlock in the parliament, but we care about qualifications,” Hankach said in an interview with MTV.

“We promised that we would exert our utmost efforts to gather and unite the opposition whether through the meetings that began in the Parliament or the meeting that was held in the Kataeb Headquarters in Saifi,” he noted.

"Some groups are slowing things down, but we, as the Kataeb Party, are in contact with everyone, including the Progressive Socialist Party, and the Lebanese Forces," Hankach said.
