Hankach Exposes Million-Dollar Scandal Inside Lebanese University

Kataeb Lawmaker Elias Hankach revealed a new corruption case involving a Lebanese University project in Fanar, worth one million dollars.

He emphasized that the Islamic Bank halted funding due to the state's failure to meet its obligations during excavations, posing a threat to adjacent buildings.

Consequently, the Council for Development and Reconstruction decided to fill the incomplete excavations, incurring an additional cost of one million dollars to the state.

Hankach alleged a swift, secretive payment after a short delay, contrasting it with the prolonged wait of the residents of Mansourieh building, who had to wait over a month to receive approximately $300.

Hankach, wrote on his "X" account, "After closely monitoring the case with the concerned parties and visiting the site, we demand an immediate halt to the filling operations at the Lebanese University - Faculty of Health - Branch II - Pierre Gemayel Campus in Fanar. Our call aims to stop waste, mitigate risks, protect neighboring structures, and ensure the completion of the college's construction. We will pursue all available legal steps."
