Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, on Friday said in a statement that Rafic Hariri International Airport was Lebanon's gateway to the world , noting that it has always been and will remain resistant to all attempts to undermine it both internally and externally.

"Our bet on increasing movement at Beirut airport was in place; in just nine months, it has been able to record the equivalent of an entire year’s movement, and its revenues have recently amplified at an increasing pace,” the statement added.
