On 1/10/2026, as a result of monitoring operations at the northern and eastern borders, a unit of the army seized approximately 245 kg of highly explosive TNT, 4 explosive devices, and 8 detonators, in addition to electric wires for detonators, while they were being smuggled from Syrian territory into Lebanon. The smugglers fled towards Syrian territory as soon as an army patrol arrived at the scene.

Lebanon has issued a new fuel price table, with gasoline and diesel prices falling while the price of cooking gas remained unchanged.
The new prices are:
95-octane gasoline: 2,837,000 Lebanese pounds, down 7,000 pounds
98-octane gasoline: 2,854,000 Lebanese pounds, down 8,000 pounds
Diesel: 2,726,000 Lebanese pounds, down 30,000 pounds
Gas: 1,333,000 Lebanese pounds, unchanged
