French Judiciary Threatens Raja Salameh

According to Asharq al-Awsat, Raja Salameh, the brother of Lebanon's central bank governor Riad Salameh, did not attend his interrogation session yesterday before the French judiciary regarding the financial files involving the Salameh brothers and banking figures, which led to the postponement of the session.

Therefore, Judge Aude Buresi, who headed the French delegation, stressed that Salameh must appear before her today or next week in a timely manner to answer more than 120 questions.

However, European judges will take inevitable measures against him in case he didn’t show up.

Meanwhile, the meetings that brought the European judges together with their Lebanese counterparts succeeded in establishing new cooperation rules, which lead to the exchange of documents and information that serve both parties.
