The Development and Liberation Bloc underscored its steadfast commitment to dialogue and consensus as a pathway to resolving Lebanon's political impasse hours before the Parliament is set to convene to elect a new president.

Speaking after a meeting chaired by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, MP Ayoub Hmayed highlighted the importance of unity in addressing the country’s pressing challenges, emphasizing that Berri has consistently championed this approach.

"Consensus and dialogue have been our guiding principles, and they remain crucial as we move forward," he stated.

Hmayed revealed that multiple sessions will be convened to ensure the completion of the presidential election process, stressing the urgency of fulfilling this constitutional obligation. He also reiterated the bloc’s aligned position with Hezbollah, signaling continued collaboration between the two groups in navigating the current political landscape.
