Deadly Israeli Strikes Target Vehicles and Towns Across Southern Lebanon

Israeli drones and warplanes carried out a wave of strikes across southern Lebanon and other areas on Monday, killing at least three people and prompting fresh evacuation warnings from the Israeli military.

The strikes began around 6 a.m., when Israeli drones targeted three separate locations: a car on the Kfar Remen–Jarmaq highway, another vehicle on the Jarmaq–Khardali road, and a motorcycle on the Kfar Remen–Jarmaq highway near the Youssef Hotel. Three people were reported killed in the attacks.

Information indicated that the target of the strike on the Khardali road was Ziad al-Ahmad, the son of the former mayor of al-Wazzani.

Later in the day, additional Israeli airstrikes hit several towns across southern Lebanon, including Tebnine, Zibqin, Sadiqine, and Yater in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as Hanin in the Tyre district. Other strikes were reported in Mansouri, Yohmor al-Shaqif, and Zawtar al-Sharqiya.

A heavy “fire belt” of airstrikes was also recorded between the towns of Kafra, Haris, and Zibqin, further intensifying the wave of bombardment across the region.

Separate raids at dawn targeted al-Shahabiya, Sarifa, and Deir al-Zahrani. Israeli warplanes also struck two houses in the town of Arzoun in the Tyre district, destroying them. Rescue teams from the Islamic Risala Scout Association worked to remove rubble and evacuate the wounded from the site.

Since early morning, intensive Israeli drone activity has been reported over Beirut and its southern suburbs at low altitude, according to local sources.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military issued urgent evacuation warnings to residents in several southern Lebanese towns, including Nabatiyeh al-Tahta, Loueizeh (Jezzine), Sajad (Jezzine), Ain Qana, Harouf, Zbdin (Nabatiyeh), Kfar Remen, al-Duwayr, Adshit al-Qusayr, and Maydoun. Residents were instructed to leave their homes and move at least 1,000 meters away into open areas.

Israeli military spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee said in a statement that the evacuations were being ordered due to what he described as “Hezbollah terror organization violations of the ceasefire agreement,” adding that the Israeli military “does not intend to harm you,” while warning that it would act “with force” against Hezbollah targets.

Separately, the Israeli military confirmed that Sergeant Nohoray Lezer of the 601st Combat Engineering Battalion in the 401st Brigade was killed and another soldier seriously wounded after a booby-trapped drone launched by Hezbollah struck southern Lebanon, according to Israeli Army Radio.

The attack reportedly took place at around 3:30 p.m., when the explosive-laden drone targeted an Israeli force operating near the village of Dibil in southern Lebanon. The drone exploded on the upper section of a “Namer” armored personnel carrier, killing Sgt. Lezer from shrapnel wounds and seriously injuring another soldier.
