Christian denominations that follow the Western calendar celebrate Palm Sunday. Children's visits were held in churches in different regions, olives were raised and candles were lit in an atmosphere of joy.

The churches were crowded with people who came to participate in this day on which Jesus said, "Let the children come to me and do not forbid them." 

The priests' sermons focused on the need to take children to the houses of God, not only on this day, but on every Sunday, because approaching God is through prayer, faith and living the virtues.

At St. Joseph Church in Zgharta, Father John Makhlouf, assisted by Father Sulaiman Yamin, presided over the Mass and the Palm Sunday procession, which was attended by children in and outside the church.
