Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has been one of the most high profile split and divorce proceedings in recent Hollywood history but the pair have kept a respectful silence for the most part.
The couple had tied the knot in 2014 after being together for nearly nine years before that but within two years of being married, the wheels on the relationship started to fall off.
Brad and Ange split in 2016 but their divorce rumbled on in court for a number of years after before it was finally granted in 2019.
During the time that the pair faced up in court, Brad spoke to GQ Magazine in 2017 and said that there were only one winner when the case went before a judge, and that was the lawyers.
The now 57-year Hollywood actor said at the time that meeting Angelina in court was "an investment in vitriolic hatred".
Brad was philosophical in the interview as he described how the process was difficult for all parties involved.
He told GQ: "We’re both doing our best. I heard one lawyer say, ‘No one wins in court – it’s just a matter of who gets hurt worse’".
Brad continued: "And it seems to be true, you spend a year just focused on building a case to prove your point and why you’re right and why they’re wrong, and it’s just an investment in vitriolic hatred."
Brad and Angelina met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith while he was married to Jennifer Aniston, when they were hailed as Hollywood's golden couple.
Brad and Ange soon hit it off though and were a couple from the moment Brad and Jen came to an end.
They now have six children together - Maddox, Pax, Zahara. Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox - who are currently the subject of a custody battle between the big screen stars.
