GOT Actor Undergoes Treatment for 'Personal Issues'

“Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington is undergoing treatment following the end of the HBO television series, his representative said on Tuesday.

“Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” Harington’s representative said in a statement without further elaboration.

The 32-year-old British actor seems to be treated for stress, exhaustion and alcohol use after the compelling effects of the final season’s ending on him, as reported by The New York Post’s “Page Six” column.

The column stated that Harrington checked into a clinic in the United States several weeks before the show ended on May 19.

“I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable. I had a shaky time in my life around there - like I think a lot of people do in their 20s,” Harington told Variety in an interview published in March, describing the fame and attention the show brought him as “terrifying.”
