Christie’s and the Saudi Ministry of Culture have engaged in a partnership to build a new heritage museum in Jeddah.
The museum will mainly work on introducing its visitors to the history of Al Balad, the old town of the Red Sea city and a protected World Heritage site.
Meanwhile, it was reported that negotiations are also underway with Christie’s rival, Sotheby’s, to establish a cultural centre in Al Ula, another tourist site that Saudi Arabia is seeking to promote.
