Dutch Art Detective Finds Picasso's Stolen Masterpiece

Arthur Brand, a Dutch detective known as the "Indiana Jones of the art world", has found a Picasso painting that was stolen 20 years ago from a Saudi sheikh's yacht on the French Riviera in 1999.

Brand handed the masterpiece to an insurance company earlier this month.

The 1938 masterpiece entitled "Portrait of Dora Maar", or "Buste de Femme (Dora Maar)", is worth €25 million.

The portrait of Maar, one of Picasso's mistresses, was hung in the Spanish painter's home until his death in 1973.

Brand previously made the headlines for returning a stolen 1,600-year-old mosaic to Cyprus and finding "Hitler's Horses", two bronze statues made by Nazi sculptor Joseph Thorak.
