Intermittent clashes erupted along the Syrian-Lebanese border between the Syrian army and Hezbollah, as artillery strikes reportedly destroyed a Hezbollah ammunition depot inside Lebanese territory, Al Arabiya reported on Monday.
Syrian military reinforcements, including rocket launchers, have been deployed to the border with Lebanon, while "Shahin" drones were seen flying over the area, according to local sources.
"Large military reinforcements were brought in to reinforce positions along the Syrian-Lebanese border and prevent any breaches in the coming days," said Maher Ziwani, the head of a Syrian army division deploying to the border.

Al Jazeera, citing a military source, reported that eight Syrian Defense Ministry personnel were killed in a Hezbollah attack on Homs countryside, which also claimed the lives of two civilians. Meanwhile, Al Arabiya stated that the number of Syrian army casualties in the border clashes had risen to six.
The Syrian army shelled positions inside Lebanon following the killing of three Syrian soldiers by unidentified gunmen. While Syria's Defense Ministry accused Hezbollah of involvement, the group denied any participation in the incident.

Footage circulated by Syrian media outlets and activists showed Syrian forces launching artillery and rockets early Monday at targets inside Lebanese territory, west of Homs province.
Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that Lebanese villages and towns in the Al-Qasr–Hermel area came under fire from Syrian territory. Lebanese military units responded to the attack with appropriate weapons, the agency added.
On Sunday night, Syria's defense ministry accused Hezbollah of entering Syrian territory and abducting and killing three members of Syria's newly formed army. Hezbollah denied the allegations. According to a Lebanese security source speaking to Reuters, the three Syrian soldiers had initially crossed into Lebanese territory and were killed by armed members of a tribe in northeastern Lebanon, who believed their town was being attacked.
