Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian indicated that the Lebanese side must choose a president, urging Lebanese officials to expedite the election process.

"We heard positive statements about Lebanon during our discussions with Saudi Arabia, and we call on all countries to support Lebanon," Abdollahian stated from Beirut Airport.

"I expect regional and international countries to support Lebanon economically and commercially," he went on saying.
