3 Arab Players in the Champions League Semi-Finals

Three Arab players were among their clubs in the semi-finals of the current edition of the UEFA Champions League.


Of the four clubs that reached the golden square of the European championships, three teams include Arab players, where Algerian defender Issa Mandy plays with Villarreal, and his compatriot Riyad Mahrez with Manchester City, and the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah leads the Liverpool attack line, while the fourth team does not include, Real Madrid any Arab player.


The first leg matches of the semi-finals of the Champions League will be held on 26 and 27 April, while the return matches will be held on 3 and 4 May.


The first match in the semi-final will witness a confrontation between Mandy and Salah, where Villarreal will play against Liverpool, while the comrades of Mahrez will face Real Madrid, the record holder in the number of times to win the continental title.


Arab players have a distinguished record in the history of the Champions League, where three of them have previously won the Double-eared Cup, and they are Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi, Algerian Rabah Madjer, and Egyptian Mohamed Salah.


Madjer and Salah are the only Arab players to score in the Champions League final.
